I recently read an article that said the FDA is very underfunded and has a hard time keeping up with new technologies and inspections. I'm curious what people in the industry think about this?

I've seen many overworked
I've seen many overworked inspectors come through our facility. As long as your company seems to have a good reputation with the FDA, they tend to not spend too much time/effort doing a very through review, it seems like they are in a hurry to get to the next place. I guess it's a symptom of cost cutting in almost all industries, they are asking for people to do more with less resources.

Kind of like the FAA with air travel. I read they are just too lazy to do a study to see if cell phones actually interfere with airplanes, so they just say you have to turn off all electronic devices.
